Reverie Roasters Express - Newton

I have edited my review since Reverie Roasters took over from 12 Brew. RR Express has a drive through, so that's good for convenience. But the drive through is still a little slow, and without the ability to leave the line if you need to, you can be there a while. The coffee/service is better than when it was 12 Brew, closer to what I would expect from a coffeeshop. Pricing is higher than I was expecting, even though I did expect prices to rise some. I didn't expect to be charged extra for Oat milk, but it was suggested at the window without mention of the upcharge so I didn't really think much of it until they told me the total. The menu looks much more professional than before, which is nice. I just read another review saying they give a discount to people in the medical field. I'm in the medical field and never got a discount, and I didn't see any signage about that. I was wearing my badge prominently as well, so hmmm... we'll see! Overall, I probably won't go as often as I'd like due to the pricing, even though it's better and nicer than before. I'll go back occasionally on payday or when I'm feeling a little bougie. :

They have good coffee, however, the first time I went there, they gave me a 10% discount for being in the nursing field. When I went back a second and third time, I didn't receive one. When I asked why, I was told because they didn't have discounts in their system yet.....

The Aloha and almond joy flavored espresso Used to love dropping by and grabbing a coffee from here, gotta stop by again.

This place Suuuuuuuucks . I have yet to go there and get actual coffee. I always order extra shots of espresso because I like my coffee strong. But how do 3 shots of espresso in a 12oz cup taste like chocolate milk? Not to mention, that I get one of two things every time I try this place and each time they taste completely different from the last. Don’t waste your money on this terrible attempt at exploiting college and high school aged kids for cheap labor. But if you want a good hot chocolate, I suggest ordering the “Milky Way” with 2 extra shots of espresso. Tastes just like the hot chocolate you get from vendors at football games. Delicious
