Bidrage med feedbackI'm not from the area and found this place by looking on Google maps...wow I'm glad I did. I'm here at least once a week. Everything they make is great with an ultra friendly family that runs the place. I lived in San Diego for several years where there are good Mexican places everywhere and this ranks right up there with them. It's real deal Mexican food!!! BYOB Too!
Ordered tacos and burritos. Burritos were poorly put together and had bean paste everywhere. Advertised that it came with queso cheese but had something that looked like mozzarella slime and the rice inside was hard. Beef wasn't ground but chopped and hard to chew. Tacos didn't even have cheese. Never had a taco without cheese. Called and told them it wasnt as advertised and they wouldn't even fix it. I WASTED 25 dollars. Thanks for nothing
Everything was authentic, fresh, and flavorful. Loved the horchata, and the guacamole was awesome. Service was great. I would highly recommend Taco Y La Torta!
My wife and I dined here on 5/24/14. We used to frequent it before it became El Taco... . The decor is a bit lacking, and it 's rather big inside with few tables. You can tell it 's a restaurant in transition. BUT, the food was delicious. They strive for a more authentic approach and it shows. We ordered a spicy pork taco, a chicken burrito, a veggie burrito, and an appetizer of guacamole. The guac was great, but next time we 'll skip it because it comes with the meals anyway. The service was attentive and very nice. And our whole meal, including two soft drinks, was $25.80. We highly recommend it and will be back! (btw they tell you the salsa is spicy but it 's not too bad! . UPDATE 6/6/15 We 've been coming here consistently about every 2 weeks recently. The food is beyond excellent, cheap, and plentiful. We have yet to order anything we didn 't like. And they now take credit cards!
Best Mexican food in the local area. Great prices.
