The Herring At Bedruthan Steps

First of all, the hotel is a bit remote from the usual tourism. But that doesn't detract from the ambience... Great effort is made to suggest a noble impression. First of all, the guest has to descend quite a bit of stairs into the interior of the building and first pass 2 polite restaurant managers in order to finally get to the reserved table. You get a great uninterrupted view of Cornwall. Apart from the starter, the menu wasn't that big. The composition of the main course was rather unusual. It was also unusual that the starter was larger than the main course. Also that we could no longer get our selected dessert, but a new menu card was presented. Sure, we felt good, but I wasn't really excited...

Wow. I've never had a set menu before, I've always been a little scared that I may not like everything. However, everything was incredibly tasty even the things I wouldn't normally try.
