Bidrage med feedbackI love to eat. But sometimes I take it too far. I love it a little too much. And then I become a little too critical when things don't meet my expectations. Local Ocean's is a wonderful experience on the Newport Bayfront. You won't be disappointed if you choose to eat there. The ambiance and service is fantastic. The seafood is fresh and flavorful. Every dish I tasted at my table was impressive. They truly care about your experience and go above and beyond to make sure you're taken care of. I've found in my life that constructive criticism is helpful too. So, with that said, I found the crab po' boy underwhelming. Nevertheless, I have deleted my previous review and given Local Oceans five stars for all they do well. And they do it very well. I hope you enjoy your visit to Local Oceans. There is a lot to love. And they deserve five stars.
The best and freshest seafood in Newport. Right on the warf. Best place to get lunch and sit on a bench across the street to enjoy it and watch the boats and wildlife on the water. The service is excellent. Food choices are fabulous. Then, a walk with the dogs along the waterfront afterward is a must.
The best meal I've had in a very long time! The garlic crab soup was beyond delicious, scallop skewers absolutely amazing. The oyster dinner the best ever. Our waiter was awesome. Happy 52nd anniversary to us! I will try to get back here soon! I can't sing enough praise for everything about our experience!
I used to think this was the best seafood restaurant in Newport. After years of coming back here I’m convinced it’s the best seafood restaurant on the entire Oregon coast if not the state. Evolving seasonal menu, unique flavors, great service, absolutely topshelf bartenders (Sander deserves a medal of some kind). I would run through traffic for one bite of the ceviche and I might name my firstborn “Black cod acorn squash salad”. Find an excuse to go
Excellent dining experience, from the food, friendly staff and views of the bay. Our waiter, Sander was extremely helpful.
