La Forge Casino - Newport

Ate here recently and our waitress Lauren from Ireland, was extremely personable and attentive. We loved hearing about the history of the building and the food was really amazing (would personally recommend the clam chowder). We will 100% be back

We started with the clam corn fritters, which were rubbery and Bruschetta dip, which was delicious. For mains we had the Baked Cod, Fish n Chips and the Penne Pasta, all tasted good. The fish was fresh. The Strawberry lemonade was okay. While the food was okay the service was very slow. Everything took long taking the order, bringing out the food, bringing us the bill. The place was fairly empty but they could have been short staffed since it was the 4th of July.

Went to La Forge for the first time and it was awesome! The nachos were delicious, best I've had in years, the turkey club uses real turkey, not turkey lunch meat. Also had the steak and cheddar sandwich and it was perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant.

It’s too bad the hours that the menu changes aren’t on the website. We made a reservation for lunch at 12:30 and we will have to have the brunch menu. I’m sure it will be lovely, but we were so looking forward to the lunch menu.
