Greggs - Newport

Sausage and bacon roll and a coffee sets me up for a day out on the golf course.

I wanted to have coffee tomorrow morning, and they were offering hearty dishes. I asked Greg if they would have corned beef sandwiches at 9:30. The lady informed me that they prepare the orders now and you can pick them up hot in the morning. I didn't have to pay upfront, and I was able to place Greg's order. They provided all the small bags without any extra charge, and everything was delicious and warm when I picked up the coffee in the morning.

The bustling Gregg's is a popular spot for office workers during lunchtime, which can lead to long, albeit quick-moving, lines. As expected from a typical Gregg's, the menu features a variety of baked goods, baguettes, sandwiches, and cakes, along with large coffees and other hot beverages. There are a few tables and chairs available for those who want to eat in, although they can be occupied by nearby office visitors.

I had a speck and sausage roll, which was delicious! The staff were amazing, especially Donna, who was very polite.
