The Sloppy Waffle - Newington

Server was nice but my waffle was hard as if it was previously cooked beforehand and then served hours later. Having to walk up and order your food was kind of weird and unnecessary as well seeing as it wasn’t busy whatsoever. Where we sat was very warm and humid and had to switch to another table to feel more comfortable.Food: 4/5

I ate here with a friend early on a Saturday morning and I will note 2 things:The having to get up from your table to order and pay for your food before sitting back down and waiting for your food to be brought out to you. For me that was different. However, I quickly adapted and it actually was not a huge deal. Honestly it was nice to be able to eat without thinking about still having to pay. When you are done you just get up and go and if you think about lots of other places do it this way as well so not a deal breaker.The second thing was the portion of the waffles. Perhaps the pictures online are misleading and I expected a larger waffle than what I received or I was just very hungry and everything tasted so good. Again this was not a huge deal and the food was still delicious. I just wished there was more of it. I guess I'll have to come back again and again in order to satisfy my cravings.I ordered the apple crumble waffle with a side order of bacon and a cafe con leche. It was such a difficult decision because there are so many options to choose from. I recommend getting there before the line forms and looking at the menu ahead of time to speed up the process in case there's already a line when you get there.Ultimately in my experience the food was delicious, the staff was accommodating and the atmosphere was clean and cozy. Definitely go check them out.

Food was good. Place was clean. A little overwhelming if you've never been there... not typical. Seated and given The menu. Then you go to the register to order. Food is served on paper plates and you get to-go plasticware which made the waffles a little tough to cut. Very cozy and good food, just different than I was expecting, but not in a bad way. Manager also made sure to greet us as it was our first time there.

Absolutely delicious food. My son had the peanut butter cup waffle, my dad had the chicken and waffle, and I split an omelet with my daughter.Even the plain buttered toast was INCREDIBLE. We can't wait to go back!!

The food is amazing, when it arrives you are not going to be impressed until you start eating and your brain is like wow?, this food is delicious. I usually don’t eat all food but believe it or not I finished my food? and I started eating off my boyfriend plate ?. I definitely will be sharing this restaurant with my friends and family.
