Very clean, well kept, pleasant & helpful staff, food was very good. We had breakfast, real potatoes- not frozen. Good amount of food on the plate & did not have a long wait. Would go there again

Portion size is on the plus side. Price is reasonable. Service is relaxed but friendly and attentive. Food is average roadside fare. The restaurant seemed clean, a little dated.

Waitress Lynda was fast and courteous. I ordered the 4 pce chicken and fries and a fountain pop $3. Chicken had minimal meat on it and it was overcooked, dry and crusty. I ended up paying my bill $17.85 and left with most of the meal untouched. Too bad as I could have eaten at subway but was looking for something home cooked. Will make sure to not stop here again.

This place is TERRIBLE. Right from sitting at our table, which was dirty as was the bench seat, it took an extremely long time to receive any service.Once we did place our order, it took over 40 minutes to get simple dishes of bacon & eggs and a hamburger plate. When we did get our order, things were mixed up on the plates, my brother's hamburger was cold and tough and the toast was clearly not hot when it was buttered as the butter was in a lump on the bread.The restaurant, and I use that term VERY lightly, was not busy at all. The waitress didn't come see how we were doing. It was clear she was new and didn't know what she was doing.Finally, when we were about finished, a dark haired lady with glasses came to our table and asked how we were. I told her EXACTLY how we were doing. I told her that the food was cold, nobody had come to check to see how we were doing and there was no excuse for such lack of service.Immediately, the defense came on. We were told that family was in town and they were trying to get them out the door (they were in a corner booth). Well, guess what? Not a customer's problem. You want to visit? Then make sure your customers are taken care of FIRST. Then she proceeded to tell us the waitress was new. Obviously. She absolutely needs to be trained better and she didn't smile and wasn't friendly at all.Then this young male decided to pipe up and told us to be quiet and mind our own business and not to say anything. I couldn't believe it. Of course, loud enough so everyone could hear him and my brother just told him, look, this is none of your business and to stay out of it. This kid didn't listen and continued to lip off. Then the lady who came to our table, obviously the owner, was across the restaurant and she piped up to say, he's just defending me and helping me out. Again, loud enough so I'm sure anyone walking through the front door could hear. Way to encourage that kind of behaviour in your establishment and speak that loud for all to hear. Then she came over to our table and told us that kid was a friend of hers and to give him a break. Ya, ok. If this is how you conduct business, it's no wonder the service is less than subpar - because it can be because you don't do anything about it except defend stupid behaviour.She gave us $5.00 off the bill. Gee thanks.It is very rare that I don't leave a tip but this time was absolutely one of them. I refuse to reward bad service and even worse behaviour.I would rather get food at the Esso station then ever eat here again. I would let my stomach rumble til the next place to stop came in sight.This place is atrocious..the service is disgusting and the treatment of customers is downright obnoxious.

I cannot rave about this restaurant enough! Family owned and run, Grandpa raises the cows and pigs (the only reason they cannot be organically certified because the neighbor sprays) Daughter is wonderful, friendly, energetic waitress. Home baking!!I was so impressed with my brunch and delicious coffee, I took home 3 of their individual mini pies. My husband really enjoyed the cherry, the blueberry was really good, and personally I would add more cinnamon to the apple pie. I know this family will be a huge success and I cannot wait to be travelling again so I can make many, many stops here for the most satisfying meal. I'm a bit of a foodie, and without a doubt this family made every day fair amazing! They could use proper signage, and an update (if ambiance is your thing) But for honest to goodness wholesome food you wont be disappointed to stop here. I'll see you there!
