El Coto - Newcastle upon Tyne

I went on a date night with a beautiful friend of mine who had reserved a table in advance. However, I arrived 30 minutes late due to a mix-up with the time. The staff were great and found humor in my lateness. They led me straight to the table where my date was patiently waiting with a bottle of red wine already opened. We ordered a set meal for three as I have a big appetite and enjoyed the delicious starters of olives, bread, ham, and cheese. The mains were equally satisfying and we indulged in various tasty dishes. We also shared a second bottle of red wine and topped off the meal with chocolate mint ice cream for dessert. The night was fantastic, the staff were lovely, the venue had a great ambience, and I highly recommend El Coto. Overall, it was a great experience and I give it full marks.

This venue is excellent for pre-game meals. I had a great experience with friendly and helpful staff, delicious food, and they even rearranged tables to fit our group.

Terrible experience! The food was ice cold and definitely not worth the high price. Cafe Andeluz is much better and more affordable.

Great food, friendly, fast service and a lovely quirky restaurant. Sadly since the Durham restaurant closed we don't get to go very often, but when we visit the Newcastle one, it's always will worth it!

Lovely food and a brilliant deal for restaurant week. Great staff and quick service. The prawns, lamb meatballs and calamari were our favourites!
