Delicious Decadence

Disappointed!! We had a booking for afternoon tea at 13:30. Sat waiting for 33 minutes before we even got a cuppa. Afternoon tea finally arrived at Customers that arrived before us were given their drinks before. Service was so slow!! I mean I know it’s a Sunday and a day of rest be honestly there were only 6 other customers in the cafe and 2 couples had already been served. Really girls you need to speed up service!!

I have been a loyal customer of Delicious Decadence for a few years now, as I am acquainted with the owner. When it came time for my wedding in July, there was no one else I would trust to make my wedding cake, especially since my new husband absolutely loves their Bakewell cake! I was unsure of what I wanted for the cake, but Kate provided me with several ideas and ultimately created a beautiful masterpiece that tasted amazing. Our wedding guests also gave us many compliments on the cake. I would highly recommend Delicious Decadence for any special occasion cake needs.

Located in a quiet street in Jesmond, this small cafe is a hidden gem. The staff and owner are friendly, and all the cakes, sandwiches, and breakfast options are delicious as they are homemade. They offer outside seating on a spacious pavement and have a breezy interior with simple wooden tables, perfect for social distancing. The cafe sells cakes in-store and takes orders for special occasions, as well as offering outside catering services. Well-behaved dogs are also welcome. It's definitely worth a visit for a relaxing time or to treat yourself to one of their delicious cakes. They are currently open from 10am to 4pm, Wednesday to Sunday, so be sure to check their opening times due to COVID restrictions.

I went to a ‘baby shower’ for which the cafe closed to other customers. It was a great venue for this type of event, afternoon tea included. Excellent sandwiches and the scones were particularly good. Friendly and efficient service too.

This restaurant is a complete disaster. There were very limited food options, no scones or tea cakes available. The walls and floors were filthy, with a terrible smell resembling wet dog. The paint was peeling and the menus were dirty. To top it off, we were completely ignored when we walked in. I will definitely not be coming back here.
