County - Newcastle upon Tyne

The County has the biggest selection of cask beers in Newcastle. It is a proper pub with good service and friendly staff. Definitely recommend a visit.

Gosforth High Street boasts eight pubs – and The County is undoubtedly the favourite. The choice of beers here – including cask and craft – is exceptional, and well presented. Management and staff are friendly and welcoming and will go out of their way to make your visit enjoyable. It’s a traditional pub which is cosy and comfortable, and has a pleasant ambience with genial locals who make visitors feel at home. The outside patio area is a great benefit which can be used in all weathers ish ! Sports fans are well catered for. All the major football and rugby matches are shown on quality screens, and there's often cricket in the afternoons.

Spending early evening on Friday at the County is a great way to start the weekend.The beer is great, the pizzas good value and the staff are excellent. What's not to like?

Great bar brilliant staff very friendly Leslie makes sure she runs a tight ship not a s e tip. Nothing to dislike!

Two school friends and I met up for lunch at this restaurant and had a great experience. The venue had comfortable seating and decor, a good selection of beer, and delicious pepperoni pizzas. I started with a Xmas Chaos porter, which had a Christmas flavor but didn't taste much like a porter. I then tried a Merry Merry Christmas, a festive stout which was excellent. We enjoyed a variety of real ales and shared two pepperoni pizzas, with the second being ordered because the first was so good. The only downside was the parking situation, as the car park we had previously used was now for staff only. Despite this, we still had a great time and I made a mental note for next time. My drinks were halves and accompanied by the pepperoni pizza, so no need to worry about my faculties being impaired.
