Butterfly Cabinet - Newcastle upon Tyne

The restaurant has amazing service and talented baristas. I enjoyed creating my own delicious breakfast and the food was served quickly. I will definitely be coming back again.

Very disappointed. Went with my daughter for a birthday breakfast and both agreed it has gone downhill massively since our last visit. The eggs Benedict were hard boiled and the full English was drowned in beans. They took up more than half the plate. Not sure if they’ve changed chefs but it’s such a shame.

My husband and I recently enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Butterfly. I ordered the Thanksgiving sandwich and my husband had the club sandwich, which were both huge and delicious. The friendly and accommodating server made our experience even better. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

I’ve been here several times before but after the last visit I wouldn’t rush back. The place is scruffy, we were sat next to some pictures on the walls which were covered in cobwebs. Granted it was busy, we queued outside which was to be expected but once we were seated the service wasn’t the best. We waited 30 minutes for our drinks and as the food was being served I had to ask if the drinks were ready yet. My partners food order wasn’t correct but after the time we had waited we honestly couldn’t be bothered to ask for a replacement. This restaurant used to be the place to go for a good breakfast but it’s went massively downhill unfortunately.

I had been told to try here by a number of people and I am glad that I tried had to wait to be sat at a table but well worth the wait. I went for the business breakfast which was excellent my wife had poached eggs on brown toast which hit the spot these were washed down with the breakfast tea. Great service from all the staff we will be back.
