Bidrage med feedbackI would not recommend this place at all! It might be the worst restaurant I have ever visited. My boyfriend and I made a reservation yesterday. When we arrived, a family of 7 came in without a reservation and the staff was trying to seat them. We waited while other staff members walked past us without acknowledging us or asking about our reservation. Another couple arrived after us, and the staff ignored us to ask them about a reservation, even though we were there before them. It was very awkward, and we probably should have left then. After finally being seated 15 minutes later, we were not given menus like other guests. I had to ask for a menu after waiting for 15 minutes. It took another 30 minutes before anyone came to take our order. We were close to leaving. I had to notify the staff once again that we were ready to order. Our drinks arrived an hour later, and our starters came 40 minutes after that. I had to remind the staff about our main course, which had already been prepared, but they tried to give it to me to take home because we had been waiting for so long. It was painful to see how the staff isolated and discriminated against us all night. I had to constantly follow up to get any attention. The staff would check on other tables around us, but they seemed to ignore us and walk past with angry expressions. As a black person, I am used to such treatment, but my boyfriend was shocked by the blatant discrimination. If you are white and enjoy mediocre Chinese food with undercooked chicken, then this place might be suitable for you. However, if you are black, it's best to avoid this restaurant to prevent unwelcoming stares and terrible service.
The restaurant offers a complete vegetarian menu that can be made vegan upon request. The staff were attentive and accommodating to my dietary needs. I highly recommend trying the kimchi fried rice (just make sure to request it vegan) and the aubergine and green peppers with black bean sauce.
There is no vegan menu available at this restaurant, and the staff seemed unaware of what vegan food entails. The dishes I received were flavorless and difficult to eat. I recommend trying another dining establishment.
A lot of the dishes are or can be made vegan just ask and they’ll tell you which dishes are egg free. I had vegetable vermicelli noodles which were great and Kung po deep fried tofu
Located in Chinatown I happened upon Amaysia one night after work and was surprised by the amount of tofu dishes available on the outside menu, so we decided to try it out and luckily we got a table, as it was very busy inside. When you walk in the decor is modern but not in a pretentious way and on offer they have a dedicated vegetarian menu with lots of dishes and mains available. However, none of these are labelled vegan so please ensure you state you are vegan before ordering, as a lot of the options contain egg. We did this and it was fine, although the staff did have to check with the chef. For starters we decided to order the salt and pepper tofu and the hot and sour soup to share. The salt and pepper tofu was delicious with lots of chillis on top, whilst the soup was excellent too and full of flavour. For mains we ordered the kung po deep fried tofu and deep fried tofu in satay sauce £7.50 each) with rice to share. The satay and the kung po were very flavoursome with the tofu perfectly cooked. This was washed down with a refreshing iced grass jelly soya milk, which I would highly recommend if you have never tried grass jelly before. We had this all the time in Singapore. By far the best restaurant in Chinatown I have visited.
