Riverside Cafe - Newcastle Emlyn

Today was our third visit to the cafe, our first visit was 3 or 4 years ago. Unfortunately, we arrived too late for hot food, but we enjoyed a delicious salad bowl and vegan cake for dessert instead. We always enjoy visiting Newcastle Emlyn and hope to return again in the future. It's unfortunate that the Health Food shop has closed down, but we are grateful that the cafe is still open and thriving.

I was recommended to visit the Riverside Café by a dedicated vegan from England, and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. I was initially unsure how this café would measure up to the vegan cafes in urban areas of England, but my concerns were quickly put to rest. The food was excellent, with clearly marked vegan options on the menu. The staff were friendly and attentive, with at least one member who could speak Welsh. I ordered a vegan curry, while the children and my friend also chose vegan meals and were all impressed. I was thrilled to have discovered the Riverside Café and nearby health food shop. We were informed that well-behaved dogs were welcome, making it a potential attraction for us and other holiday-goers in the future.

There are plenty of vegan choices at this restaurant. The children enjoyed their meals as well. We had vegan curry, a vegan burger, and the kids split a falafel plate. All of the desserts are vegan too. We sampled the carrot cake and an orange and ginger cake, both of which were delicious. The restaurant has a lovely setting by the river.

Such a lovely cafè, catering for vegan and gluten free aswell as vegetarian. A huge range of delicious food and vegan cake and desserts!! Beautiful decor and lovely, friendly staff. Will be back when we next visit!

This is a great veggie/vegan retuarant. Serves a wide choice of food( It took me ages to choose as so many different dishes) in generous portions , lovely atmosphere too. Nice friendly staff. There is a health food opposite as well so you can eat a delicious meal and stock up with provisions before going home. If you park in the town near the castle ruins there's a lovely walk down by the river, which is nice after having such a nice Lunch.
