The Wine Down - Newburgh

It's disappointing that the restaurant is closing because I've tried to go there several times only to find it closed. It seems like they may have sold it and don't care about what happens to it. It's like they're neglecting their customers.

Great atmosphere and staff, laid back and fabulous, that serve tasty food and offer a lengthy wine list. New to wine, ask them for their wine sampler-not pricey and an excellent way to find your favorite wine to drink

We had a very fabulous time! The staff was very kind and friendly. The food was super good and the wine was delicious! We will definitely be returning!

Nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. Owner noticed us searching for seating and was very helpful finding us a place. He also helped us with our wine selection. Several patrons also offered seating with them at their tables. Impressive! Band playing was Static Mojo. Very nice visit. Recommended!!

I went to this restaurant for a date night last Friday for the first time. Despite the distance from Mount Vernon, the drive was worth it. If I had to describe the evening in one word, it would be cozy. The place had leather sofas and chairs, a quiet ambiance, nice wine, delicious food, and excellent service. I will definitely be visiting this restaurant again in the future.
