Costagliola's Little Italy - Newburgh

Let me start my review by saying I have been passing by Costagliola 's Little Italy for many years and decided to take my wife there for Valentine 's Day. I looked it up on the web so I could check out the menu, which had a good variety of pasta, seafood, and meats (chicken,veal). When we got there for our reservation the place was packed. We got to our seat and was handed a single page menu. I knew immediately that it was a limited menu for the holiday. I saw that they had complete meals that came with melon and prosciutto along with coffee and cake that finish the meal. I will honestly say there was only a few things that I had to choose from. I 'm not big on seafood other than lobster, shrimp or crab so I got the shell steak and shrimp scampi. My wife ordered chicken and veal with crab stuffing in a white wine sauce. My scampi was very tasty and the steak, although it came with no sauce and I decided not to ask for any. I am glad didn 't. The steak was as good as I 've ever had. Very flavorful and in the top 10 I 've had out. My wife said her dish was amazing and when we traded bites, she was not lying. The veal was like butter. I never had crab meat stuffing with veal or chicken but, Christ, it is amazing. My wife said , and I quote, ' I feel like licking the plate its so good '. The only negative was our server. She was very pleasent but it was busy and she was most likely new. Other tables were seated after us, got their food before us and they were almost done by the time we got ours. I did not let this take away from the great meal we had. We will definitely go back very soon to try the items on the full menu and hopefully our server will get some tables under her belt. I 'm sure the long wait for food coming out of the kitchen is not always the fault of the server.

My favorite place! amazing food, staff is wonderful and treat you like family and the decor and music is the final touch to a beautiful evening.

We have been going here for years. The food is all home made and excellent!! The soups are so good, their pasta sauce is delicious. I recommend the Zuppa De Pesce, their pizza is so good as well. Any thing that you order will not disappoint. They make their own bread which is hot and fresh when it get it. The Ravioli is so good, the Veal Parm so tender I can go on forever because everything on the menu is a piece of Heaven. GO, you will love it!!!

Great place! Not sure why some of the bad reviews..the food was excellent and authentic! Anti pasta salad was amazing along with both our dishes.

Family type restaurant. Large portion, good tasting and flavorful. Very personable owners and staff too.
