Country Store Cafe - Newburg

I visited the restaurant on September 4, 2024, and tried their Wednesday special. Even though I ordered ahead, I still had to wait about 40 minutes after arriving. When I got home, I was disappointed to find that there was hardly any roast beef in my sandwich. The fries were lacking too—I only received a total of 12 tiny fries, which were not full-sized. My mother ordered mashed potatoes instead of fries, and if I had to estimate, there was only about a tablespoon of mashed potatoes. I have pictures of the meal if you’re interested. Overall, it was one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had.

I really enjoy the breakfast here. Lunch was not as strong for me because I didn't care for the homemade roll with a cheeseburger.

The food here is amazing! Their cubed home fries are much better than the shredded version you get at a lot of restaurants. I had the Western Omelette also and it was delicious. Polite and friendly servers as well.

I had a fantastic time! I picked up some fresh flowers in a teapot from outside and enjoyed peach oatmeal with milk. My husband ordered the haystack, which came with white sausage gravy—a delicious mix of potatoes, eggs, and pieces of homemade biscuits. Everything was delightful, and they also offer homemade bread along with plenty of baked goods.

I have dined at numerous restaurants over the years, but none has matched the breakfast experience here. For just $16, you can satisfy a working man's appetite with not only a generous portion of food but also incredibly tasty dishes. It's definitely worth the drive and every penny spent.
