Captain John's Crab House - Newburg

The oysters on the half shell were delicious and full of flavor. The server was friendly and knowledgeable. The mozzarella sticks were typical frozen ones, but cooked perfectly.

The restaurant is good and I enjoy its location. It seems to be a favorite among locals, although I noticed many cars with DC plates in the parking lot. The ambiance is fairly casual, with an old-fashioned feel.

Parking: If the place is packed parking is difficult

Waitress was friendly. My open face turkey sandwich was cold and tasted old. Jumbo steam shrimp not worth the $19 charge. Bourbon wings and onion rings were pretty good. Iced tea xpensive but good. Take advantage of free refill. Make sure you tell them not too much salt on your crabs. Im not sure if they use Old Bay. Ambiance was nice. View across river was nice. They should fix all the rips n holes in the booth seats though.
