River City Pizza - Newaygo

I really loved the interior—it has a cozy, homey atmosphere. I ordered the cheese breadsticks and the BBQ Chicken pizza. The breadsticks were fantastic, but the marinara dipping sauce stole the show; it's possibly the best marinara I've ever had. The pizza was also quite good, though the sweet corn as a topping was a bit unusual, yet it worked fine. Overall, I had no complaints about this place.

Charming small-town atmosphere with incredibly friendly staff. We ordered the cheese breadsticks based on our waitress's suggestion, and they were fantastic! We also tried the medium supreme pizza, which was delightful. The crust had the perfect thickness—crispy but not overly so—and the sauce was just right, allowing the toppings to shine. I highly recommend River City Pizza!

Honestly, it's the best pizza I've ever tasted. Even a basic cheese and pepperoni is absolutely incredible. I'm so glad I don't live close by, or I'd probably weigh 1000 pounds (but I would be very happy)!

Decided that we would get some pizzas for carry out since we had several members of the family over. Why we didn 't do delivery is beyond me...but whatever. When we arrived we told them that we had an order to pick up. While they rang that out and finalized everything the chef came out asking if we had 5 minutes to spare. We told him that we did. He went to the kitchen (talking to us the whole time) and came back with a sample of a new chili that they were beginning to serve as a special on Tuesdays called Buckeye Chili . He explained to us that this comes from a popular chili in the Cincinnati area which is why he chose the name that he did. First off I have to say that this chili was absolutely amazing. If it wasn 't for the fact that we had hungry people waiting back at my parents I would have probably ordered some to go. The chef (which may also be the owner...I am not sure) had so much passion for what he does that it really makes me want to only eat there when I am here in Newaygo. After my mom and I finished off the chili sample he gave us a sample of the most amazing brownie ever made. Just as I was about to snag a brownie to bring home the girl informed us that they had just sold out of the brownies. The cheesecake that they offer is all made in house. They will even take special requests if you let them know of the flavor that you would like. Everything made in house is made from scratch. That is something I feel you typically do not find from a small town local place. But you can taste the time and freshness in every bite. The pizza was great (once we finally got home to eat it). Probably the best pizza place in town. The prices I feel are very fair and reasonable. Totally going to be a place I visit frequent!!!

EXCELLENT, fresh ingredients, all homemade crust, love this place! My daughter attends Camp Newaygo and we stumbled upon it this summer driving up from Grand Rapids, now we stop every time we're in town, absolutely delicious.
