Sweet Portugal Bakery - Newark

My sister ordered during our visit of this beautiful bakery for our breakfast on 3/19/21. the hot egg, ham and cheese sandwich, the Portuguese sweet rolls and the pastéis de nata were excellent! my parents and my sister love the coffee. I have to look at the freshly squeezed oj. look at sweet portugal bakery! highly recommended! we look forward to other menu items.

I’ve loved this place since I was a kid. I feel like it’s even better now. Great staff and even better food.

Best bakery I have ever visited, the decor is very authentic and not to mention the sweet treats. Best natas I have ever had.

Nutella stuffed donut was amazing. Empanadas were light and tasty. Sadly I do not recommend their smoothies. The strawberry banana one was not good at all. It tasted like they used under ripe bananas and strawberries and mixed it with water. Would def go back and try different things.

I have lived around the corner for years and never knew such great coffee was only a few blocks away. Their coffee is reasonably-priced, delicious, they have milk alternatives. My boyfriend ordered a custard tart which he enjoyed, and I ordered a piece of cake that was also delicious.Can't wait to come back and try some of the Portuguese bread and pastries.
