Dickey's Barbecue Pit - Newark

First order from here. After we spent $100, we got food that was all cold. The reels were hard like rocks. The baked beans were hard. The meat had plastic and foil in it.

I'm not happy. I ordered a little beans and a rib to try their food. I feel betrayed and very overpaid for the extremely small portions they gave me. I give them a star because that's the only minimum. City BBQ has beaten them with all means!

Today for the first time tried. This was highly recommended by my brother and sister in the law. Everyone in our party was disappointed, is an understatement. My six French french fries I got with my sandwich plate were cold, BLACK and soggy. The pulled pig was dry and burned. It took forever to go order. The staff was not well trained, no one seemed to have a clue what they should do or how to do. Will not be a returning customer. Very disappointed. Less than 1 star if that was possible.

My husband and I decided to try this place a few days ago and thought it was so good. Everything we ate was amazing! We spoke this place up to a bunch of people and decided to take a friend today. I'm not sure what happened between our first visit and today, but the service was bad to say the least. Our whole food was mixed and the person who brought us our food tried to get my salad from my husband's tray with her hand to put it on my dish. I stopped her from doing this because it seemed strange to me that she would take her hand route verses with utensils, but whatever... then we had all the right sides with the right meat before the right people.... the food was terrible!!! We were so disappointed about how amazing it was only days before. We even ordered more food as we were so impressed for the first time and this time annoyed $78.00 with 85% of the food in the garbage. Extremely disappointed.

I stopped in for a 1/2 rack to go. Please keep in mind I have traveled a lot. I don't think there ribs are for me! I'm not to sure about the other food they have there. I would not buy ribs again. They had a very well done layer on the top. The price's seemed expensive to me.
