I used to frequent this Wetherspoons whenever I visited Newark-on-Trent. It is disappointing to see that it has now closed. I always thought it was one of the better pubs, with a great selection of beers and delicious food. The staff were always friendly and provided excellent service. It's a shame that Tim Martin's decisions seem to be solely based on profits, as this was not one of his lesser establishments.

As usual, this restaurant offers great value. The outdoor seating area is lovely, but it would be nice to have non-smoking sections available. It's a fantastic spot to sit and people-watch.

All the best to all staff, sorry you have lost your jobs.wethersoons will be missed.i had fish and chips last friday, nice meal not a very thick piece of fish, with to much batter meals have always been a bit hit and miss, but more better than not.

We had burger and chips off a special menu, very nice. Jade cleaned table, asked if we needed anything.she fetched us some sauce and was very polite. you are lucky to have her.
