The Great Northern Inn

I had a fantastic lunch at this peaceful countryside pub. The food was outstanding, the chips were delicious, and the dessert with double cream was top-notch. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The background music was great as well. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience.

Went for a riverside walk bank holiday week and local recommended this pub and how to get there, told us did good food. Absolutely amazing food, didn't know whether to take a picture of it or eat it, so well presented. Had spinach and ricotta tortellini with beetroot noodles and garlic bread. Wasnt sure what to expect but it was heavenly, a veggies dream. Husbands fish and chips dish was a sight to behold. So much attention to detail. Host was so courteous and welcoming. Lovely background music. A great experience. Would highly recommend if in the area. We'll definitely make another trip out that way.

Went last week with two very good friends for a lunchtime meal. The food was superb, I had the green Thai chicken curry fantastic, my friends had scampi and one had the sausage, we are all remarked how fantastic the food was. To drink we had wine and two pints of superb Woodforde’s Wherry. Very good value.

Called in for Thursday lunch, was very pleased with excellent food, friendly staff, good beer and great value. Plus if you or your kids like trains the 125 fly past now and again.

Superb Sunday lunch, excellent choices of meat, fresh vegetable and a perfect Yorkie. Friendly attentive service, warm and cozy atmosphere. Thankyou
