Fantastic venue, friendly staff and good atmosphere, lovely cask ales and great value pub food, will definitely come again

My sister lives in Sheffield, us in Stamford so this was an ideal half way meeting point. Upon arrival the pub was warm and friendly and had the open fire cracking. The lady that greeted us was amazing! And was there throughout our whole visited and was incredible accommodating. We had an age range of 1-71 and there was 9 of us in the group. The food was normal pub grub which we all enjoyed. It was more the service that shone. We were able to move into the garden room to have coffees and open christmas presents. It’s was amazing. Thank you so much. Well definitely be back as out half way meeting point!

Over priced food for pub grub not the best Sports bar which is not what we were expecting Would not go again

After our visit to the Minster and a walk around the town we called in here for a welcome drink before leaving Southwell. The staff were friendly and welcoming and we enjoyed a nice drink in this pub, nothing to dislike, would recommend visiting when you are in the town.

Love this pub! The staff are so friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious! We met as a family for Christmas lunch and, even though we turned up late due to diversions on the roads, nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely return!
