Bidrage med feedbackI did not enjoy my meal at this restaurant, although others seemed to. I was disappointed with my experience and have provided feedback to the restaurant. I am aware that it is usually well-liked.
We had a meal here, not been for a while, was not as good as previous visits, not bad, just not up to usual standard, our steaks seemed to be of poorer quality, maybe it was us, seemed quiet, service was ok, never thought was brilliant, still a decent place to eat.
Over cooked fillet steak to hide the fact that it had gone off. steak had a real twang to it so it was sent back. staff quickly pointed out that the person on the other table was fine with his a no body else had complained. second plate was worse little piece of steak over cooked and then butterflied to make look bigger. waitress was rude . chips were frozen not fresh ,only one person enjoyed there meal (a child). summary, cheap food bad service expensive price tag.
We have just returned from a weekend stay in Sherwood Lodge at the back of Redbrick House. There are 5 lodges in total so quite a quiet park all with stunning views of the woodland and the lake. Sherwood Lodge is gorgeous. Very spacious, very luxurious and the lay out is fantastic. The hot tub is great and you feel as though you are in a tree house when sat it in with the view of the woods. The decking is perfect for sitting out with a drink or dining al fresco with a view. The master suite was the icing on the cake. Not only a fantastic sized room with gorgeous en suite bathroom but also a walk in dressing room with enormous wardrobes and a dressing table AND it's own balcony. Lots to do in the area. We visited the beautiful Newark on Trent and (of course) Sherwood Forest during our stay We loved it and hope to return in the future.
The meal was average, but it was served on a small salad plate instead of a dinner plate, causing the food to be piled up and unappetizing. The Lemon Meringue pie was terrible.
