Yopparai - New York

The food was incredibly tasty and the service was exceptional, making for a delightful dining experience.

The restaurant was closed when I arrived at 5:45. I tried calling the number but no one answered.

This new location of Yopparai is just as funny and tasty as the old, but in a lot of space! Everything we ordered was just absolutely delicious; we have ordered quite everything from each section of the menu and each dish was just as good and very authentic to a izakaya. Our employees were so friendly, knowledgeable and amazing, offer great recommendations for food and will. We had such a wonderful time and they were so friendly and accommodating (we didn't know we were over the closing time until we were gone! and never once felt we rushed. A wonderful place with delicious food and Sake with a warm and wonderful staff. We can't wait to come back!

I came to Yopparai for the Omakase experience selection for my friend's birthday as he likes to taste new food and never had Omakase; I was treated one of the best culinary experiences of my life. We were taken to a private enclave to sit in a traditional Japanese environment and had a big Yuzu cocktail a glass of plum wine. Each course was carefully presented, thoroughly respected and was delicious. Everyone was well balanced so our range experienced different flavors while we were still full. Although we stayed for a long time, we never felt hurried and felt well visited. As mentioned, all the dishes were well explained by a friendly older man who took the time to ask if we had any questions, and answered all of us had complete. At the end of our time, he also asked what brought us to New York, as well as some brief stories about New York grew up in the 70s/80s and Tokyo before offering us a Japanese cloth as a moment. All in all, the food was perfectly prepared, the experience was fantastic, and the staff was friendly welcome. I wouldn't have asked for a better culinary experience or a bigger birthday dinner for my friend. Thanks to Yopparai for making his special day unforgettable!
