Paddy Reilly's Music - New York

Brilliant bar although didn't visit when live music was on but loved the music that was playing.First time in NYC. Paddy Reilly's was first bar we visited on Thursday when we arrived we made a quick visit again on Sunday prior to flying back to UK at night.The bartender on Thursday (think it's William) Desi on the Sunday were amazingly friendly I wish we'd had more time to spend in their bar but trying to cram in so much in 3 days meant we only had the two fleeting visits.The Guinness is fabulous. ?Cash or card accepted they'll soon have later licence too since being taken over by Desi recently.Desi even persuaded me my wife to have a few extra drinks before we left saying we would have plenty of time to get to airport. He's correct as I'm typing this awaiting to board.Will definitely return to the bar once I've paid off this trip in +10 years!

Stopped in check out the renovated PR 's. A Saturday afternoon, about 6:10. Sit at the bar, order a Guinness....figure it 's nice to get one before their oft promoted happy hour ends at 7:00. Bartender let 's the pint stand, as he should, walks over and asks if it 's cash or credit tab. I say cash . He looks me in the eye and says $12. Mind you right over his shoulder above the bar is a poster showing Every Day Happy Hour 4-7....Guinness $8.Paid the thief. Had my pint and left. Had my dinner down the street.

Update 6/7/23: Paddy's GRAND REOPENING finally here! Paddy's will be open at 5 pm on 6/8/23. Join us and raise a pint to many more years of live music and the best Guinness in NYC!Original Review: Simply the best bar in Manhattan.

Been coming here on and off for over twenty years. The staff are always what brings me back, and also the excellent live music. I heard it's changing ownership this season, I hope they manage to keep the vital energy of this essential manhattan bar.Service: 5/5
