Luigi's Pizza - New York

I'm a huge fan of all their pizzas, especially the grandma pizza (see picture below). My wife does have some valid critiques, noting that the dough can be a bit flimsy if you prefer a crunchier crust. However, I personally love the softer texture of this dough, so I have no complaints. The prices are reasonable, especially compared to other local places, and this restaurant still offers fantastic flavor!

Their specialty slices are fantastic, with the Buffalo chicken being one of my favorite slices in all of New York. However, I was really disappointed with the meatball sub I ordered; it turned out to be mushy and flavorless. The hot wings were decent—good, but not exceptional. That said, the celery sticks raised some concerns for me regarding their food handling and safety practices. Quite unappetizing.

Last week, my cousin took my mom and me to this restaurant. The thin slices of pizza were just perfect—the crust had the right amount of chewiness, and there was a delightful crispness with each bite. The sauce was delicious, too; it wasn’t overly seasoned, had a great consistency, and the quantity was just right. The grandma slices were on par with Tommy's, which I adore. They were slightly sweeter, packed with basil, and had a thicker crust that was neither heavy nor dense. Over the course of six days, I had pizza five times, and Luigi's made up two of those visits. I can genuinely say I wish I could have gone there four times instead!

The pizza is excellent, but I definitely prefer her grandma slice—it's absolutely delicious!

In just six days, I had five pizzas, and Luigi was the spot for two of those visits. I can honestly say I wish I could have gone there four times instead!
