Bidrage med feedbackI had a birthday dinner for 12 people on a Sunday and Mike was our waiter. It was my first time eating there, though I live in the neighborhood. Mike did a great job taking care of us and the food was delicious. The mood of the restaurant was great too. The music wasn't too loud and they had the front wall of windows open which felt great inside. Unfortunately for Mike, he wasn't given the support he needed for a party of 12 and I put that responsibility on the owner and manager. I'd made a reservation and when I showed up there was no record of it. Mike had to be the host, waiter, bartender and food runner and he nailed it all. He didn't need to be put in that position. He was able to call in a bartender to help eventually.
Came here for dinner with a friend. The space was cozy with low lighting. There was a relaxed atmosphere. My friend and I shared 3 tapas for $26. We chose Fried Calamari, Israeli Meatballs, and Babaganoush, which was served with pita bread. I really enjoyed the calamari, which was actually crispy enough for my liking. The Israeli meatballs were covered in a well seasoned tomato sauce. The meat was wonderfully tender. The Babaganoush was made with charred eggplant, tahini, garlic confit, as well as harissa oil. This was pretty thick and smooth with plenty of different flavors mingling well together, especially with the still warm, soft pita bread. For my main course, I ordered the Lamb Chops, with French fries instead of garlic mashed potatoes. The Lamb Chops were absolutely delicious. Seared to perfection, amazingly tender, wonderfully juicy, as well as succulent. It was also well seasoned throughout and very flavorful. The fries were crispy and full of potato-y taste. Service was pretty good. It was a cool spot to try out for Mediterranean Israeli cuisine.
We visited this restaurant on a weekend to take advantage of their $20 endless mimosa special, which was a blast. The servers kept our mimosa pitcher full, allowing us to enjoy a few rounds before we left. Unlike other places with bottomless deals that rush you out after a certain time, we were able to stay for 2 hours and enjoy unlimited mimosas the entire time. The food was also delicious! I ordered the avocado toast with poached eggs, latkes, and a salad. The latkes and toast were a bit cold upon arrival, and the food took a while to come out, leading me to think that our order may have been forgotten. However, overall it was a fantastic experience for bottomless mimosas and brunch!
I did not find anything particularly impressive about this restaurant. The food was average and seemed overpriced for what it was. The appetizer of pita bread, baba ganoush, hummus, and falafel was disappointing - the pita was not fluffy, the baba ganoush tasted strange and was under salted. The salads were large but only consisted of basic greens for $18. The seafood couscous paella only had 3 shrimp, 2 clams, and a few calamari rings. Overall, I would not come back to this restaurant.
Local92 is definitely one of the best brunch spots I've visited. It was not crowded, they played Drake, and the atmosphere was fantastic. The service was excellent and they allowed us to take our time. I ordered the shakshuka, hummus, and hangover pita and I was very satisfied. I would highly recommend the first two dishes. The hangover pita had a delicious taste but the texture of the meat was a bit off-putting, as it was quite chewy. Overall, I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a great spot to enjoy some delicious shakshuka!
