I will not say that the service is good because one of the employees is really careless, the remnants fell on me twice when he cleaned up our table. they should also remember that they have dessert after the main course. I don't know why we have cheesecake right in front of hot pot and other main dishes. it feels bad.
This izakaya is in the cellar so carefully looking for her sign. that is a very lively place in the night, they plan ahead when they hope to have dinner. they have an illustrated menu and a good list of cocktail/sake (also illustrated) so great for drink lovers. overall the taste and menu selection is great, but not absolutely surprising. these are common courses that they can expect in a japan restaurant or more precisely, it is American-Japanese fusion instead of pure japan. for traveling or people looking for a date dinner place, this is a safe choice that they do not disappoint.
That was my second time to eat here after 3 years. the restaurant has a hip feeling that appeals to young people. it is a cellar and has a low lighting so that they experience an underground atmosphere. they play a lot of modern and hip hop and r
Everything here is mouthwater. I personally recommend trying the amakara sweet sour ribs that they were so juicy, tender, perfectly cooked and seasoned. I also liked the garnel. the kimchi cream udon was very tasty, but I think it could do without the austerity. the frozen beer was a fun and unique experience, as I see it nowhere else. the old fashion is a must, the Japanese whisky was so smooth and the aromes of zimt and lemon sealed the deal for me. the ambiente was very intimate despite the business and I loved the 90s hip hop music in the background. I'll come back in a definitiv when I visited nyc. one is sure that they plan to wait about 20-30 min for dinner at each given night, as they are extremely busy what I will say is worth waiting.
This place is the BEST izakaya in town! I regret going on Sunday and should have gone there on Friday or Saturday night. It has this cozy yet lively party vibe where you enjoy the fun environment but still have intimate conversation with your own group at the table.Everything is so delicious. I ordered omu yakisoba, nabe and tofu salad. The omu yakisoba is a must try. My friend who has never tried Japanese food loved it so much. The tea infused vodka is also a bomb.
