Haizea - New York

I was born and raised in the Basque Country, but have been living abroad in the US for almost a decade. As such, I enjoy every opportunity I have to savor food from my home country. My culinary experience at Haizea was superb, I greatly appreciated the attentiveness of their staff and the coziness of their outdoor seating space. Eskerrik asko!

Horrible place They called to confirm my reservation and when i went the restaurant was closed Called and no one called! Avoid such scams

Great! Excellent authentic Basque cuisine at an extremely high level. Chef Mikel is a perfectionist.

Haizea needs to get it together or cease. They tried to charge up $160 for a $60 bottle of wine. Two of our entries didn't come. Took forever to bring food out. Really a shame. We felt bad for the staff.

Beautiful, flavorful, original Basque food. The gazpacho was incredibly flavorful, the main dishes were well portioned gorgeous and tasty. Tiny and truly remarkable a wonderful find!
