Carma East - New York

Carma east is a nice restaurant but there are plenty better dim sum restaurants in NYC.

Awful service. Several tables were waiting on 1 waiter that wasn't very attentive. Need to hire a bartender and a few waiters as we had to wait a while to have our table cleaned, to order drinks/dinner and to get our check at the end of the evening. The food and ambiance are too great to be diluted by poor service.

The dim sum are clearly more of a Shanghai influence and simply excellent. Highly recommend the soup dumplings. Just amazing!

Carma East was excellent the Chinese tacos and soup dumplings were our favorites, but every dish was delicious. Some dishes we wanted an extra sauce or something to dip into, but nothing was less than amazing, so we got over it. : Comfortable, low key spot in Alphabet City with great wines and beers.

The food was alright. Alittle salty for my taste. their taco and cripsy pancakes were really good. When i asked for hot sauce they gave me some kind of burnt pepper flakes in oil.. wish they had proper hot sauce.
