Ask for a copy of your receipt. The diner would do better to leave a copy of a receipt in the bag of customers’ delivery orders. This would better prevent risk of tip tampering after delivery. I had a delivery person get grumpy for not receiving a tip for delivering an order two blocks from the restaurant. This gentleman would have had access to a motorbike. The diner offers free delivery but the folks they subcontract to may insist that you tip even though the diner says their delivery personnel are already paid!

Very clean and cozy diner with friendly staff. Food was cooked very well and fresh squeezed orange juice was really fresh. Everything was perfect until cashier charged wrong price and insisted it was correct even though we showed the correct price on the menu and to go menu.

The employees here are immaculate, the honesty in their service is top tier, Highly recommend you stop by

I was goofing around just looking at my old neighborhood 172 Sherman Ave when I decided to look a bit further, my old school Good Shepard 1951 -1959 Family moved to NJ. Anyway, my mom when she could afford it would take my brother and I to the old Capital restaurant and back then the food was great especially the burgers. Great to see this old landmark lasted in time and best wishes to the new owners.
