Placed an order for pick up and the lady on the phone was rude and lacked customer service. I ordered 2 bento box and asked if could switch the tempura to extra California rolls or extra Shumai instead . The lady rudely said no. I said I would pay extra because I rather pay for something I'm going to eat instead of paying for something I'm not going to eat . I used to be a regular here , but I'm definitely not ordering anymore. I will find another Japanese restaurant that is more friendly and accommodating.

We only get delivery but it's great! The food is solid and good portions.

Whenever I order from Akami, I am always impressed by the quality of the food. My go-to dish is the Bento Box, which offers a lot of food for a great value. The beef negimaki is particularly tasty! Their miso soup is hands down one of the best I have ever had, and all the dishes are fresh and well-presented, even for take-out. The white rice is cooked perfectly. Additionally, the delivery always arrives earlier than expected.

I'd recommend this place. I like the food and the price is reasonable. For a take out, the food is ready in 10-15 minutes.

I don’t write reviews often, but this place made me so sick. I got the lunch special from here. It tasted okay, but I couldn’t finish it it was too chewy and salty. Within a few hours I was so violently ill I couldn’t keep water down. I was sick all night and it took over 12 hours for me to be able to drink water again. It’s been almost 24 hours and I still haven’t graduated to food. I do not remember ever being this sick from food before seriously concerned about the health and safety of the kitchen here. I didn’t even get anything raw.
