Bidrage med feedbackI could tell this restaurant was popular by the number of cars parked outside, eagerly waiting for it to open. Amanda was an excellent server, and I was also impressed by the rest of the staff. The food was amazing and packed with flavor. Make sure to come hungry—trust me, you’ll want to enjoy every bite!
Now, about the food— it was really delicious! I particularly loved the fried chicken, which was incredibly juicy. There was so much food that I even had leftovers for breakfast the next day. I use "breakfast" in quotes because I ended up eating at 1 PM, but hey, I’m on vacation!
We started with the chicken wings and pulled pork nachos as appetizers. The nachos were good, although the pulled pork was a bit on the dry side. I didn't personally try the chicken wings, but the rest of my group enjoyed them. For the main course, we ordered the family feast, which is advertised as serving 4-6 people. Let me tell you, we ended up with three full take-home boxes of food, and there were only four adult men at the table! The pulled pork in the family meal was much better than what we had as an appetizer. My main dish, the brisket, was decent but also a bit dry. The ribs were tasty, though I didn't try the chicken. One highlight was the cornbread – definitely worth a stop! We also ordered three sides of macaroni and cheese, which was excellent – some of the best I've ever had. The candied yams were great too, but I didn’t get a chance to try the smoked beans. Overall, it was worth the visit, and I felt we got a fair price for the amount of food we received. The service was also good, with no issues to report.
Absolutely great! And we? ve eat a lot of bbq in the Carolinas, so this with the best of them. Very happy it is only 40 minutes from where we live and worth every mile. The maize cake was served warm, was moist and had a slightly sweet top. All meats were juicy and tasteful and the sides of the Slav, potato salad, Mac n? Cheese and beans were as we like them. Great service, loved the playlist and the metal bowls we ate! And the SAUCE! Perfect!
Respect to the young Kings but .. We ordered 2 of the 3 meat combos with collards yams baked beans with cheese grits and a sweet tea to go? the brisket I received was hard dry ends that wasn?t edible. That part of the brisket should?ve been discarded. Upon placing the order I distinctly asked the girl if she had the moist part of the brisket she had no clue what I was talking about. She also was slightly rude as if I was bothering her when I politely asked the question. Actually I asked the question to the guy first, that was taking orders a short guy he left the counter whispered to her and then she stepped up to the counter and said what?s your order. Then I again politely asked if I could request the moist part of the brisket. As I was trying to explain to her what I was asking for and if it was an option, I noticed that she was responding like ?what? what are you talking about "I noticed she was annoyed by my question so I just proceeded to place my order. Please explain to your employees what?s the Moist part vs Dry part of a brisket. The collards had no flavor and should?ve been cut smaller and more seasoned. The pulled pork was excellent. The BabyB/ribs taste good well smoked. I will say that all the meat was well seasoned. The corn bread was excellent as was the yams (although I had to pick plastic out of them). All the side items, are so good except for the greens. The sweet tea went down the sink no taste at all. Bqq n Sweet Tea go hand and hand. I?m looking forward to trying the NJ location to compare the difference. Honestly I wasn?t impressed, I cook better than this. The other person ate their food because they eat anything.
