Bay Side Drive-in - NEW WATERFORD

I was surprised to not find this location in Yelp yet... it appears to have been at this location for quite some time... Came across this establishment on Saturday as we were driving between Glace Bay and New Waterford. I saw the sign advertising Hires Root Beer and couldn't resist pulling in to see if they actually had any. They don't. (Hires Root Beer is only sold in limited areas in the US, and is in competition with A&W Root Beer which comes from the same bottling plant...sad really) However, I went with a root beer float anyway (Dad's root beer, if I recall) and sat out on one of the park benches overlooking the water, enjoying the view. If you are looking for a place to grab a quick snack, this is definitely one to put on your list!

Lovely historical place to grab a bite tasty hot dogs and yummy ice cream . People are friendly and the drive to get there is beautiful !

Very good food hot turkey is amazing wife gets chicken fingers and fries which are also delicious. I have on occasion purchased the hot hamburger also delicious. Place is also spotless which is a must for me eating out. We have as eaten here as I'm sure a lot of folks from the area have for years.
