Bidrage med feedbackThe staff was incredibly helpful as I struggled to decide what to order. The food was outstanding—everything from the gravy to the salad dressings and kolachy was homemade. The sausage and corned beef were also amazing. I can't recommend this place enough!
The first time to eat here. of a post in an FB group. very glad we ate here. great eating and the people were very funny! will be absolutely back!
I? ve heard a lot about this place and die to try it. friend and I came at 8:25 on a Wednesday, not busy at all. we sat and sat and waited for about 20 minutes until our server comes and get our drinks order?.and then immediately asked what we want to eat, little rude and straight ahead. then it took 30 minutes to get out. I have the egg, speck, hashbrown and toast plate, the lady has filled nutella French toast. we both were not impressed by eating, sub-par breakfast. bacon was burned/away over done, reminded me of ruck.
We visited Ettlins for the first time this weekend with our family, and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We arrived at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, and although the restaurant was just starting to fill up, there were still plenty of open tables. My husband ordered the Angry Rooster and was pleasantly surprised by how spicy it was. My father-in-law chose the Czech breakfast and absolutely loved the sausages that came with it. My mother-in-law ordered both dishes from the hen menu. Everything was well-prepared, hearty, and flavorful. The restaurant has a charming atmosphere, and I particularly loved the Tiffany-style decor. It's a wonderful spot for coffee with friends (they have an extensive beverage menu) or for families to gather for a lovely meal.
I’d like to share my honest opinion about my recent experience at this restaurant. My server was polite, though not overly friendly—more subdued than what I might expect from a southern establishment. Since I was dining alone, this might have affected the level of attention I received, but it was adequate for my needs. While I don’t require constant check-ins, it is nice when servers do so. The food was very good. The French toast was delicious, and I would definitely order it again on a future visit—plus, it came with a generous amount of butter. The hashbrowns were decent as well, although they were a bit thick, which created a great crust but meant the middle wasn’t as warm as I would have liked. A sprinkle of salt and pepper made them enjoyable, and I managed to finish them all. I’ve noticed quite a few negative reviews online, and I find them somewhat amusing, although they do come off as a bit unprofessional. This is a family-run establishment, and who am I to criticize? For those complaining about prices and giving poor reviews, I believe everyone should make their own decisions. I rate this experience a 3, which may seem harsh, but I want to reserve 5s for places that go above and beyond, and 4s for those that are just shy of that mark. Overall, based on my experience and the reviews I’ve read, you can expect a slower pace but well-prepared, home-cooked meals, served by a kind person. Just to clarify, I didn't have any issues with the service—I didn’t need much.
