Vessel NOLA - New Orleans

Had brunch on our 6month anniversary great venue (converted church beautifully decorated. Wife had the breakfast Tartine and I had shrimp and grits to go with the **** Mary and baileys and coffee. Both meals were done well and tasted great. The grits were probably some of the best I?ve had and shrimp were plump and tender. Service was pretty good and the staff super friendly especially when they called me 5 min after I left to come back for my credit card :

What a hidden treasure! Sometimes you need to stray away from Bourbon Street and explore the other amazing spots New Orleans has to offer. The drinks were fantastic and we came just to experience the atmosphere. Both of our bartenders were friendly and even suggested some nearby food options for us.

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The hostess was friendly and allowed me to walk around with my dog. Lizzy, my waitress, was amazing and quickly brought ice water for my dog. She also gave great suggestions since I was unsure of what to order. The service was impeccable. After just moving back to mid city, I plan on visiting this restaurant more frequently. It was a delightful experience and I felt very welcome.

We have discovered our new favorite restaurant. This place was amazing. We started with cocktails crafted by Kent. The pink lady that my partner had was so delicious that we're still trying to replicate it. My two old fashioneds were some of the best I've ever had. And the food was also very good.

I'd like to give me than 3 stars simply because the atmosphere and uniqueness of VESSEL. Unfortunately, the service and food was subpar. We recognize they've had turnover and brought on a new sous chef, and changed up the menu. That's all good but they were out of a lot of main foods i.e. chicken, scallops, pork chops. Ended up with just the market fish and shrimp grits to choose from. Had to fill up on appetizers. Service was incredibly slow. Food came out cold andunderdeveloped. Lentils tasted like undercooked beans. Only got one water and it wasn't refilled in the 2 hours we were there. I'd ask but the waiter never came back with it. I'm sure this place is good when firing on all cylinders but for our visit, it was frustrating and a let down.
