The Green Fork - New Orleans

We went here after Seed, to show some love to another vegan place. Decided upon a Green Smoothie. It was super delicious and the girl at the counter had great advice on other places we could go. They had vegan food and desserts. TONS of vegan snacks, and lots to take to go. The even had vegan KING CAKE, which we still regret not trying. Sometimes your belly just cant fit it all!

Non vegan hubby and I went here for lunch, after we tried unsuccessfully to dine at Seed (apparently there was an electrical fire just days before our visit). Hubby had turkey sandwich, I had lettuce wraps with cilantro hummus and corn quinoa salad. Food was great and we washed it down with The Giving Smoothie which benefits charity. Green Fork is a tiny spot mainly for to go orders but there's one small counter if you'd like to dine in. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

This is a super small business and they do not have a ton of options, but the smoothies are delicious and the owner is very friendly. They have coolers with prefabricated “to-go” meals/ snacks. At first you see it seems like a convenience store, but with deeper inspection it is quite nice options that are definitely much better than what you would find in a circle K. There are only two small tables to sit because most people are pretty fast, but I sat and ate there. I got one of the prefabricated salads with my LOL smoothie and it seemed like a good size until the owner offered me a large bowl to throw it. She gave me a huge mixing bowl and I thought it was a bit exaggerated, but very nice of her. I don't joke, I spilled this little To-Go salad in this mixing bowl and almost filled it! There was so much kindness and tasty in those little plastic-to-go containers I never believed. It was so good and filled and went perfectly with my smoothie.

The green fork was 2 minutes from my hostel (from The Quisby! So I came here 2 morning to get some urgently needed nutrients in my dehydrated and deprived body! Your smoothie menu was enormous and impressive, and the first I ordered (The LOL was delicious! The second time the server was not so friendly and the carrot flat was forgotten. Maybe it's just my delicate teeth, but they're almost served as sluts, I had to wait a bit before I could enjoy them without a brain eater. They also had an impressive selection of salads and snacks, but I would not be back if better options are nearby.

I love this place for his smoothies. The flavor combinations are unique and refreshing. The staff is friendly and service is quick and helpful.
