Bidrage med feedbackAmazing desserts and incredibly favorable for what you get! They sometimes wear seasonal and somewhat rare aromas, and the lady behind the counter is super friendly and knowledge of the aromas and desserts. She described and explained every thing in the display case if we were unable to choose what to get. Very recommended!
I wanted to explore some new flavors, so I ordered the strawberry layered cake and a Lavender London Fog latte. The taste of both the cake and the tea was exactly what you need in the afternoon. After receiving our order, I requested a cup of warm water to heat up my daughter's bottle, and again, the staff was incredibly attentive and helpful. I can’t recommend this place enough! The flavors were fantastic, the staff was exceedingly friendly and accommodating, and the overall ambiance was delightful. I can't wait to return, and now I understand why there's always a line!
Everything here is so pleasing to the eye. The pastries, the cute serving plates, the décor. And it tastes great too!Layered Cake: Very fancy looking cake. Loved the rich berry frosting layer against the fluffy cake layers. And the ornate decorations were just so fancy looking.Bread Pudding: Apparently they can warm this up for you, which makes it truly awesome. The caramel on top melts and the bread pudding gets warm and moist. It's kinda small by bread pudding standards, but it's the perfect way to get a delicately sized taste.Strawberry Macaron: Love how the external shell cracks while still soft underneath. And the strawberry filling is quite refreshing.Blackberry Citrus Macaron: Seemed a little more subtle in flavor than the strawberry, but quite delicious too.Salted Caramel Macaron: Love the caramel filling and how it pairs with the crusty macaron shell.
We stopped in to grab some sweet treats! This store is located in the heart of the French Quarters and was a beautiful shop. The shop is beautiful, cozy, and inviting! They have various pastries, treats, gelato, and products that you can purchase. I only tried the macarons and some of the cakes. They had a special going on if you buy a certain amount of treats, you get a discounted tote bag, which was adorable! Everything tasted good, it was just a bit expensive for the little pastries. Everything was made well and tasted great, I would recommend for the sweet treats if you're looking for unique treats and something tasty. Prices are a bit expensive but overall it was a good experience.Staff was nice, they let us try gelato flavors and answered all the questions that we had! They're really helpful and very nice.
So glad they recovered from all the sexual harassment problems a few years ago. Kudos to the new owners. Sucre has always been a lovely store. The ambience, from decor to packaging bags and boxes), is top notch! Today's service was excellent. I'm sorry I didn't get the name of the team member, but she was bubble, knowledgeable and personable. She seems passionate about her work. She's a great seller without being pushed. When I asked about a pastry, she described it with so much passion and authenticity. Full transparency, I was not a fan of the Gelato when the original store opened many years ago. I thought it was okay and too expensive. I didn't gelato today, but Macarons. I also bought a chocolate chip cookie and a cookie n Cream Cupcake. The cookie was good, crispy around the edges and chew in the middle. It's not worth $5. This is not a Levain Bakery cookie. Unfortunately, the cupcake was just okay. I had the same quality of Rouses. I dare say it's about what you would get from Sam, but at ten times the cost $6.00). It is a jumbo cupcake, but I recommend your cupcake repair at Cupcake Collection on the street. The Macarons were the highlight of the day. I ordered Blackberry, almond, vanilla and strawberry. With the exception of vanilla, the flavors were on site. They were delicious. The taste of the vanilla was damped, but were alive for the remaining flavors. The almond was my favorite. I love almost everything with almond cream, extract, etc. The Macarons were beautiful and shiny and had a light, crispy texture. I appreciated the extra layer they had. I'm not a Macaron identifier, so I don't know how the texture should be, but I tried some of Haydel's block away) and O'Delice today and Sucre was the best, hands down. The creamy filling was fruity and delicious. Also, Sucre sold them for $2.75 ea, while they were $2.50 and $1.79 ea from Haydel's and O'Delice, respectively. When you buy 8 Macarons from Sucre, they come to the sweetest gift box. It's a non-brain. I will like to pay more because Sucre is an experience. The other places do not come close to service, ambience and quality.
