Chris and Laura are always wonderful hosts. When Chris starts talking about the history of cocktails, everyone in the bar stops and listens to him with fascination. I highly recommend trying the famous Cancer Grilled Cheese and a refreshing Mint Julep to make your day even better!

Wait person didn't offer a list of specials and I didn't know there were any until another staff member gave specials list to other guests. We both ordered salads and instead of bringing them out first, they were brought with the entrees and there was barely enough room on the table for four plates and two diners. The food was okay and way over-salted. I think this is more of a bar that serves food than a foodie destination that has a bar. Just wasn't impressed.

I recently dined at this restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food, drinks, and service were consistently excellent. In fact, I enjoyed it so much that I made one of my two dinner reservations here when a friend from New Orleans was visiting. Unfortunately, when we arrived for our reservation (which had been confirmed through OpenTable the day before), the restaurant was closed. Despite trying to call, no one answered the phone. While I understand that emergencies can arise leading to unexpected closures, it would have been appreciated if the restaurant had given us notification so that we could make alternate plans and save ourselves some confusion and frustration.

The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The staff was attentive and friendly.

Excellent eating with very good service. revels is a great place to dinate.
