Peewee's Crabcakes - New Orleans

I love this place. My favorite is the Hennessey BBQ Shrimp the sauce is amazing, and they give you alot of food. We had the Gentilly, Seafood and Blackened Chicken Tacos, Dungeness Crab and Shrimp, Crawfish Bread, and Crabcake Deviled Eggs.

The crabcake was delicious! I liked the seafood rice. The shrimp has a large amount of batter to make the shrimp appear bigger than it is. The sauce of the shrimp was too spicy for my taste. If I visit again, I will most definitely try the crabcakes again.

We waited about 20 mins for a table for a party of 3. The place is really small with little parking. The gumbo was really good but only had a half scoop of rice, if that much. My shrimp pasta and fried fish didn?t have any taste at all. The place is so small and crowed to have a live band on a Sunday. Our waitress totally forgot to take our drink order. The food is already cooked because our food came out 5 mins after we ordered. I will not eat here again. I left disappointed.

Peewee?s never disappoints! The two times I?ve visited, they have both been worthwhile! The food is amazing and the atmosphere always makes you feel like a part of the family!

If you can go to the location on Gentilly. This was hands down the best seafood I've eaten in New Orleans. I had the loaded shrimp potato and my friend had the loaded crab cake potato, both were delicious. The sauce was superb, flavorful, the fish and shrimp were cooked and seasoned to perfection and the combination with the potato was off the charts good. There was nothing left in my plate, if I had a biscuit I would have sopped the plate clean. I highly recommend thisrestaurant and can not wait to return. It will be stop number one.
