Couvant At The Eliza Jane - New Orleans

While the patrons next to us appeared to be having a tougher time, I can only share my own experience. We had a fantastic visit. We decided to stop by on a whim and ended up sitting at the bar, planning to enjoy just a couple of cocktails. Our bartender was not only friendly but also attentive, and he reminded me a bit of Alton Brown. After having two cocktails, we decided to order some bread and olives, both of which were excellent. The food looked amazing, and while the restaurant seemed to be slower than usual, it’s likely they were dealing with staffing issues, like many places these days. Nevertheless, they were making a real effort to ensure that everyone present received excellent service. I will definitely return for a full meal.

I had high hopes for this restaurant, but my experience was disappointing. After waiting 20 minutes at a quiet bar with only three other patrons and not receiving a drink, we decided to leave when it took another 10 minutes just to make two simple cocktails. It’s a real pity, but unless you have plenty of free time and no other plans, I recommend steering clear of Couvant!

The deviled eggs had a bit too much mustard for my taste. However, the gnocchi was amazing! The gulf fish was decent but nothing special. I tried a drink called Hot Bothered, and it was quite interesting—it had a cucumber flavor with a bit of a kick. It wasn’t bad, just different from what I'm used to.

Stopped in for brunch- super fun vibe and amazing staff and food!!! It is decadence weekend so drag themed. My BF doesn't eat red meat and the brunch was mainly sausage and they went out of the way to make him chicken. Adrienne and Renee are fantastic!

It was absolutely amazing! We tried the restaurant's weekly menu and it exceeded our expectations. Our first experience at Couvant will definitely not be our last!
