Bidrage med feedbackWe were recommended to this restaurant by a guide in new orleans, so that we do not expect a beautiful place, but large local cuisine. the waitress, however, was suddenly from the beginning. we sat at the bar while we eat to host a party of 8 in the bar. eating was average, and the experience was even worse.
Amazing local food! we took a cooking class (see other review) and instructors recommended this place. we were skeptical because it is a dive and the waiter is quite colorful (pre warned,) but eating was our best on this culinary holiday! the fried chicken and gumbo are a. Even the breastpiece was amazingly moist. the red beans were good, but not muddy as I like (big beans with meat,) but still tasty. make sure this place!
The food was really good and at a reasonable price. Service was good. Keep in mind that you are going for the food, as the atmosphere is not much.
The best lunch in the French Market area is Coops. This is a typical New Orleans restaurant, small, run-down, nothing to brag about...except for the food which is invariably good.
Fun small quirky place with good food and quick service that was also good. Drinks (cocktail) ok but nice selection of beers.
