Bidrage med feedbackThe food was outstanding! From the onion ring appetizer to the Oreo cookie cheesecake and everything in between. I will fully admit I am a seafood lover and was a bit skeptical going to a steak please, but this was by far the best steak I've ever eaten.
Small quaint place. Neighborhood vibes for sure. No menu... or at least we were not offered one. We're told the menu but not the price. One of us opted for the Coolinary 3 course offering. The salad was literally just half the iceberg with a ton of blue cheese on top. Was not appetizing. The crab au gratin was topped with too much bread crumbs. That's all you could taste. Decided to spoon and flip it over to eat from the bottom. The steaks came out sizzling. Cooked to thecorrect temperature. Lacked flavor!!! I don't think they have any seasoning in the kitchen. The dessert tasted like a homemade project. The server was not too present but. It absent. It's definitely not a fine dining place. Heard about itfrom a coworker and saw that it had good star rating on google. Should've read up on it or looked at photos. Must not be reviews from people that enjoy more ethnic food. Just so bland here. Checked it off my list and now I don't have tocome back.
I really enjoyed this restaurant. The word unpretentious came to mind while eating here. It isn?t that the restaurant is not trying to impress, it is just that they do not feel the need to put on airs. My server Keith was very nice and attentive throughout the visit. The onion rings were massive, a half order could probably feed four people easily. Tried both the 10oz filet as well as the 14oz New York Strip. Both were cooked exactly to order and tasted great. I alsothought the potatoes au gratin were very good.
A very disappointing steakhouse . A big chain restaurant will serve you better food than this place. The restaurant is nothing special, if anything a bit run down. The insides are very aged and looks like the inside of a school cafeteria in a way. I think old school decor can be done well, but it just felt like there were few efforts to upkeep the dining room from when it first opened. We were seated downstairs so the upstairs may be different. A ribeye(18oz!! and a NYstrip steaks were ordered a long with a half order of onion rings , asparagus, and potatoes au gratin. This cost us in the ballpark of $130. The onion rings were piled very high, were very greasy, and were very thin. I would market themas noodles instead of rings. Nothing to really write home about. The asparagus was acceptable but then again, I expected something delicious, not simply acceptable. The potatoes au gratin were the same. They were also very oily and greasyfor no reason, just like the onion rings. The ribeye steak was easily the worst steak I have ever tasted for the price($50! . Tough. It was ordered medium rare and the insides looked like mixed up raw ground beef. The ends were tough andit tasted bland. The NY strip steak was the same. It was essentially alive in the middle, and had no flavor. The plate it came on was filled with so much fat and even that somehow managed to taste like it had no seasoning at all! Mygirlfriend and I both felt sick after eating here and we suspect it was from the insides of our steaks being literally raw. I would not recommend this place to anyone and am very sad that I was unfortunate enough to think it would be anice restaurant with good food. Do not go here. The prices are not worth the mediocre, bland, and raw steaks .
First time there and it was great. My 32 oz t-bone was way undercooked but was still really good. I had a few bites of my wife's ribeye and it was amazing. I will definitely get that next time. The side dishes were delicious. I had the potatoes au gratin and my wife had the cream spinach. We both love them. Everyone on the staff was great from the minute we walked in. I definitely recommend it and I will be back.
