Bidrage med feedbackHad breakfast here on several occasions during our week long stay in Louisiana, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, kept my morning brew topped up, that’s a real bonus for me! We tried a few different items on the menu apparently the french toast is super popular, I personally didn’t enjoy it but I was expecting the traditional style which I am used to, bread dipped in eggs then fried, they prepare it differently, just a matter of preference, but I did have the chicken and waffles chicken ? ? several times, it’s fantastic! I would travel there again for this breakfast alone, served with a side of cayenne butter and maple syrup, its delish and I would definitely recommend giving it a try!
Slow, poor service; this place is way overrated the food is overcooked. The kitchen is filthy, chefs don't wear a uniform.
The service and ambience were very inviting and relaxing. It's a great place for breakfast or brunch with reasonable prices. The food was delicious and well-seasoned, I didn't even need to add salt to my omelette. We will definitely be returning!
As for the food and drink, the coffee was bland and average. The food was slightly above average, but only slightly. I have had better food and drinks in other places with better customer service. Would I recommend this restaurant? No. Would I eat here again? Only if there was no line and I had no other options.
The food at Toast was delicious, and we were thankful for the great recommendation. We ordered aebelskivers with lemon curd, fried chicken waffles with maple syrup cayenne butter, fries with aioli, and a large glass of orange juice. I'm not a huge fan of citrus, but I tried the lemon curd based on previous Yelp reviews and found it too lemony for my taste. I ended up pairing it with the maple syrup from the waffles, which worked out perfectly. The aebelskivers were like sweet pancake balls with a slightly undercooked center, similar to a sweeter version of takoyaki. My favorite dish was the fried chicken and waffles, with perfectly cooked chicken and delicious seasoning. The cayenne butter was a highlight, pulling everything together harmoniously. The fries were nothing extraordinary, but still tasty. Overall, Toast provided us with a fantastic meal to conclude our trip.
