Capulet - New Orleans

Capulet is a fantastic venue! The ground floor features live music with an excellent acoustic setup, making for a great atmosphere. It's much more spacious and enjoyable than many French clubs, and the food is fantastic as well! I tried the crispy smelt, which was perfectly cooked and quite generous in portion. The cocktails are delicious and reasonably priced. Since November 2021, they also serve vegan sushi! The top floor offers a romantic rooftop experience, perfect for a lovely evening. Just keep in mind that their hours can be a bit unusual, and they are closed on weekends for events, so be sure to check before you go! Highly recommended!

Wow! What an amazing restaurant and event venue! It has a fantastic atmosphere with live music and expertly made cocktails. The food is exceptional, particularly the vegan options, which were among my favorites! The hospitality is outstanding, and the enormous rooftop patio is truly breathtaking. I would love to host an event here, but it’s also definitely worth a visit for the a la carte dining!

The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, featuring a spacious rooftop area. The ground floor is also expansive with a well-stocked bar. I attended a wedding here, so we had a limited menu to choose from. The drinks were enjoyable, but the food was somewhat average; the fried fish and braised chicken thighs could have benefited from more seasoning. The garlic green beans were decent, while the mac and cheese stood out as very good. The cake beignets were exceptional! Parking can be a challenge, but you might find space across the street at the church lot. The street leading to the venue is in need of improvement, so be sure to drive slowly.

Capulet is truly an amazing venue for weddings. As a wedding planner, I've had the pleasure of working there, and it has been a fantastic experience. Steve was a delight to collaborate with; he was always responsive and very supportive throughout the entire planning process. On the wedding day, we needed to make a few last-minute adjustments, and he adapted effortlessly, guiding his team to help turn the couple's dreams into reality (dancing on the rooftop in the rain was absolutely incredible!). I would wholeheartedly recommend Capulet to any of my future couples. It's a wonderful place for weddings, and the team is exceptional to work with!

We had the best experience getting married at Capulet!! First of all, Capulet is gorgeous. The exposed brick, the high ceilings, the roof deck views. Second of all, Capulet cares so much about their couples and the day that they want. We visited so many venues in New Orleans and no other place made us feel so special, singular, and heard. Steve and Chris listened to what we envisioned and helped make it happen every step of the way. We never felt like we had to follow a template or choose from a pre-determined list. Third of all, Y’ALL. THE FOOD. Chef Chris came up with a menu that had EVERYTHING we wanted and elevated it to a new delicious level. Everyone RAVED about the dinner and said it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had. Fourth of all, the people at Capulet. From Steve and Chris to every single staff person, they took care of us and made sure we had a great time. We (the brides), our wedding party, and all our guests felt truly loved. Capulet is a magical place and we love that we can come on weeknights for dinner and feel a little piece of the magic again. Thank you to Steve, Chris, and the whole staff!
