Bidrage med feedbackWe stopped at this place as we were doing some sightseeing around this area. We ordered some beers and a sandwich
I stopped in New Orleans on a ?drive by? going cross-country, so has no reservations. I got to the restaurant at 5pm on the Friday before Fat Tuesday. I got right in-but was only offered outdoor seating. It was a little breezy and chilly. I think I was too early for the night crowds, just after the day crowds, judging by the way the streets cleared out. I like that the menu is not overwhelming. The service was good, friendly helpful. I had the Beet, Pear Goat cheesesalad the Pork Chop with Grits Andouille sausage. Both were excellent. Chop was perfectly cooked and tender, grits had some nice bite to them and the sauce was flavorful. Salad had a beautiful balsamic reduction. If I were tocriticize anything it would be that I would have liked the beets julienned instead of the larger chunks they used. Highly recommended!
This place was probably the most classically southern lunch that we had here in NOLA on our visit.
Service was amazing! They do provide hearty portions so be prepared to eat! I ordered the chicken dish with mash and asparagus on the side.
Great restaurant! Drinks, great, food, great. A very delightful experience that I hope to capture again and again
