Arabella Casa Di Pasta - New Orleans

Unexpectedly fantastic! We were in search of a quick dinner and stumbled upon Arabella—what a lucky find! This place is refreshingly unpretentious and has an eclectic atmosphere, paired with unbelievably delicious Italian cuisine. We opted for the specials, and the Lambotomy was the hit of the table, closely followed by the Hasta la Pasta Lasagna. The main courses were so impressive that we couldn't resist indulging in dessert—tiramisu and fresh cannoli. Wow! We'll definitely be returning, possibly even tomorrow.

Absolutely fantastic! It reminded me of my favorite Italian restaurant back home, but without the long wait. I ordered the Yolko Ono, and it exceeded all my expectations. The decor and theme are perfect for a nerd like me! My only complaint is that I wish the bowl was bigger next time, haha! I highly recommend it!

Arabella has a rustic charm that is very inviting. Although the space isn't large, there are plenty of seating options. Its smaller size contributes to the cozy atmosphere, enhanced by all the wooden accents in the decor. I particularly love the charming little lights over the bar and the chalkboard menu. There's also a display case filled with beautiful desserts, though I could only admire most of them due to my gluten restrictions. This year, 2022, I visited for an early dinner on a Wednesday, and the place was practically empty. This was the first post-Covid Mardi Gras, and I noticed that most restaurants were less busy than in previous years. I felt lucky to have almost the entire place to myself. I was fascinated by a woman at the front making pasta by hand, which was a lovely sight. I also appreciated the way the menu is organized. You get to choose your pasta, then select a sauce, and finally add meats and veggies. You place your order at the counter, and they bring the food to your table when it’s ready. Since it was vacation, I made it a point to enjoy a drink with every meal, haha. The man who took my order asked what I’d like to drink, and when I mentioned my love for coconut, he whipped up the best coconut rum punch I’ve ever had! I also ordered the house salad and gluten-free pasta with chicken, serrano peppers, and what I believe was a parmesan cream sauce. The salad was absolutely delicious, topped with generous shavings of parmesan.

Good service. Amazing variety of pasta and sauces. Love the ability to create my own custom dish! Portions are generous and filling. Took home enough for another meal.

It's got a great vibe with star wars and flying spaghetti monster decor. The key draw is the build your own pasta, cooked perfectly al dente. Had creative and satisfying cocktails.
