Above The Grid - New Orleans

We have been to several roof tops in New Orleans. This one has some work to do especially for their guest!

Website for pool reservations doesn’t work. Front desk only suggestion was to go to the website.. that doesn’t work. Unresponsive when we said it doesn’t.Then told us it was booked to capacity even though we went up there prior and it was empty…Did appear to be a gorgeous and very chill vibe.

This is a stop you must make when staying at the NOPSI. The bartenders we met David and Kevin) make exceptional drinks and the view is amazing. Truly a relaxing environment

Gotta be a hotel guest and the front desk guy didn't take kindly to black folks coming up and asking, wouldn't recommend unless you know someone staying at the hotel

I don't understand the 3.5-star rating, because my group and I had a wonderful experience at Above the Grid. Paul D was incredibly accommodating and asked all the right questions to figure out which drinks we would like. He has excellent knowledge of mixology as well as New Orleans history. If you visit this rooftop bar, be sure to have Paul as your bartender. The NOPSI Hotel is fortunate to have him on their team.
